Simple Meditation Logger ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Meditation Session Data

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• Date and time of meditation sessions
• Duration of meditation sessions
• Meditation type or notes (if entered)
• Statistical information (total meditation time, session count, etc.)

1.2 Health Connect Integration Data (Planned Feature)

In a future update, the App will offer integration with Android Health Connect. When this feature is enabled:

• Meditation session records will be written to Health Connect
• Data can be shared with other health management apps via Health Connect
• This feature is completely opt-in and requires explicit user permission

2. Data Storage

2.1 Local Storage

All data recorded in the App is stored only on your device. No data is transmitted to the developer's servers or any third-party servers.

2.2 Health Connect

When the Health Connect feature is enabled, data is stored in Android's Health Connect system. Health Connect data management is handled by Google and is subject to Health Connect's Privacy Policy.

3. Use of Information

Collected information is used solely for the following purposes:

• Storing and displaying meditation records
• Generating and displaying meditation statistics
• Saving app settings
• Health data integration via Health Connect (optional)

4. Information Sharing

The App does not share your information with third parties, except in the following cases:

• When you enable Health Connect integration and authorize data sharing with other apps
• When required by law

Advertising and Analytics Services: The App does not use third-party advertising services or analytics services (such as Google Analytics).

5. Data Security

The App takes the following measures to protect your data:

• Data is stored in protected storage on your device
• No data transmission to external servers
• Health Connect access is protected by Android's security mechanisms
• Option to delete data upon app uninstallation

6. Health Connect Permissions

6.1 Required Permissions

To use the Health Connect integration feature, the following permission is required:

• Write Mindfulness Sessions: To save meditation records to Health Connect

6.2 Permission Management

Health Connect permissions can be changed or revoked at any time from Android's Settings app. If you revoke the permission, data writing to Health Connect will stop, but local data within the App will remain available.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your data through the following methods:

• Delete Individual Sessions: Can be deleted individually from the history screen in the app
• Delete All Data: Can clear all data from app settings
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app will delete all local data
• Health Connect Data: Must be deleted separately from the Health Connect app

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the information below.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through the App or update the date on this page. We recommend checking this page periodically.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes regarding the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
